The Quarantine Act, SC 2005, c 20, is an act of Parliament which gives the Health Minister broad powers to stop the spread of communicable diseases either in or out of Canada. Those measures include everything from routine screenings conducted by quarantine officers at airports to complete isolation of individuals from the rest of Canadian society.
